CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program
The City of Stanton is offering a Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program designed to assist senior homeowners ages 62 and older with essential health, safety, and accessibility improvements.
This program provides up to $9,000 per household for eligible home repairs and accessibility improvements. It is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and administered by CivicStone, Inc. on behalf of the City.
This is a grant program. There is no repayment, and no lien or loan documents will be recorded on the property. The goal is to help older adults remain safely and comfortably in their homes by addressing critical repair or accessibility needs.

-
Be 62 years of age or older
-

How the Program Works
-
Application Submission – Applicants complete and submit the program application with all required documentation.
-
Eligibility Review – CivicStone reviews the application and supporting documentation to verify eligibility and compliance with program requirements.
-
Doctor’s Assessment Form – Applicants submit the City's Doctor's Assessment Form to help the City prioritize residents with the greatest needs.
-
Site Visit and Bidding – Once preliminarily approved, applicants obtain contractor bids for the proposed work. Three competitive bids are recommended.
-
Contractor Selection – The homeowner selects a contractor who must complete the City's contractor application and provide the required licenses, insurance, and documentation for approval before work begins. The homeowner and approved contractor then enter into an agreement for the approved scope of work.
-
Construction and Completion – The contractor completes the approved improvements. CivicStone coordinates the completion review and required inspections before the City authorizes payment to the contractor.
